Cromer Norfolk: Situated on the north sea coast of Norfolk in Eastern England, the coastal resort and parish of Cromer has long been a favoured vacation destination. Aside from the renowned Cromer Crab and the lobsters, the local fishing fleet had been engaged in long-lining for cod and drifting for herring.

The often dangerous conditions off Norfolk's seacoast, lead to the Cromer Lifeboat Station being established in the early 1800s, the lifeboats were predominantly crewed by the local fishermen. In the 1920's, a lifeboat station was constructed at the end of Cromer Pier, making it possible for powered lifeboats to replace man-powered lifeboats.

The tourism business commenced in Cromer in the early 1800s, and it was acknowledged for the pure air and health enhancing bathing conditions. First constructed in eighteen twenty, the Hotel de Paris was a seaside residence for Lord Suffield, it was transformed into a hotel in 1830 by one Pierre le Francois.

The railway line found its way to Cromer in eighteen seventy seven, bringing an ever-increasing quantity of tourists to the area and establishing it as a holiday hotspot. Another rail station to the East Midlands opened up around a decade after this.
